Rotation Dance Exchange

This project is a creative and sporting approach to skill development, Entrepreneurship, Education and Youth Employment. Rotation Dance Exchange sector development mechanisms designed to introduce dance to beginners and community groups, designed develop young people interested in perusing a carear in dance. Designed to support Professional creative praticies as a tool to social change and commity cohesion. We seen a passive impact to the by prototyping the development of a national league, creating high quality experiences, industry pathways, entertainment packages and education plan.

Our proposal developed on the compound of a thriving ‘Breaking’ sector and mechanisms developed by Young Creative Leaders Since 2016 The project is significant as Break Dancing recently transcended the creative industry to becoming an official sport. The International Olympic committees announced break dance as a new sport for Paris 2024.

We invite you to our First Edition in Nigeria, The aim of the event is to bring together the diverse styles of Hip-Hop and movement culture from to exchange and share best practice. Platforming Beginners and Professional categories in Breaking and All style

OUR CULTURE

A yearly Afro centric platform gathering of partitioners and communities across the UK.

A cross generational community festival focuses on programming dance, music and food of African descent, that enables people of African diaspora and non African heritage a day that celebrates/ showcases African & Caribbean movement styles and technical qualities that evolve from that community. This edition on RDE does not platform Hip Hop Culture, although it’s also of African heritage.

This festival alongside our Black led dance studio, holds the focus of ensuring authentic technique the importance of individuals and organization of African diaspora and non African heritage having better historic context to the African movement & music practicing they consume or earn from.
Room 1

• ●  Dance exchange room designed for participants to engage in authentic beginners and Professional level workshops in a variety of Traditional and commercial dance style, Participants will also exchange with each other, celebrating a new generation of Uk youths embracing DanceHall, Afro Fusion & Amapiano at their local dance studios

  Room 2

• ●  Room two will be dedicated to community groups, providing matured participants an opportunity to program a space to capture their generation of dance and music. Participants dripped in Traditional attires.

  Expect a family friendly day with Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Food Vans, DJ’s playing music from all African and Caribbean countries alongside.

  Participants will be Awarded best Dressed Male and Female, best young and matured dancing.

Look forward to a special gathering , RDE returns to Rwanda for a 3rd Edition in Partnership with Kigali Breakers, the Young Creative Leaders network for raising funds to support the programming of A 5 category event platforming dance for beginners and professional.
